Medellín: Early in the morning, the adventure begins in the vibrant Medellín, where we meet at a designated point to check the equipment, get to know your motorcycle, and receive a brief orientation on the route, riding modes, and traffic rules.
Ride: Today, we will cover approximately 280 km. Departing from Medellín, we will enjoy a ride on paved roads with hundreds of curves, the route will have altitude variations between 150m and 2400m, with panoramic views of mountainous landscapes. We will make a quick stop in Yarumal, a charming town known for its rich cultural heritage. Explore its charming streets and enjoy a coffee to immerse yourself in the local culture. We will then continue our journey to Caucasia, the commercial hub of the Bajo Cauca region. The temperatures will vary, with a colder morning and a warm afternoon, so it is advisable to wear comfortable and fresh clothing and have a waterproof jacket on hand.
Caucasia: Upon arrival in Caucasia, we will check into a local hotel. You can take a leisurely walk to explore the town at your own pace. In the evening, we will enjoy a delicious dinner with local specialties such as "viuda de pescado" and "arroz con bocachico," then return to the hotel for a restful night.
Day 2 Itinerary: Caucasia to Santa Cruz de Mompox

Ride: Today, we have a long route of about 330 km on paved roads with typical coastal Colombian landscapes. We will pass through charming towns like Sampués, known for its craftsmanship, particularly the famous sombrero vueltiao. If time permits, we will visit local artisan workshops and learn about the traditional process of making this iconic hat. We will also pass through Sincelejo, where we can admire the historical architecture and vibrant culture of the city. As is tradition in the area, our lunch will include fish and coconut rice. For this route, it is advisable to wear comfortable and fresh clothing as it will be a hot day.
Santa Cruz de Mompox: A colonial town and UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its well-preserved architecture and rich history. Upon arrival in Mompox, stroll through its cobblestone streets, explore historical landmarks, and enjoy a traditional dinner by the river.
Day 3 Itinerary: Santa Cruz de Mompox to Valledupar

Ride: Departing from Mompox, we will cover about 315 km of paved roads, filled with views of coastal plains and surrounding landscapes. We will pass through magical towns of the Colombian Caribbean coast like Pueblo Bello, the gateway to the Arhuaco indigenous territory. This serene town is famous for its coffee plantations and its cultural contrast with the rest of the region. We will then continue our journey through scenic mountain landscapes towards Valledupar. The temperatures will vary between warm and temperate, so it is advisable to wear comfortable and fresh clothing and use sunscreen.
Valledupar: The birthplace of vallenato music. Upon arrival in Valledupar, we will check into a local hotel and then you can explore the city's vibrant cultural scene. Day 4 Itinerary: Valledupar to San Juan del Cesar

San Juan del Cesar: A town nestled between the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Serranía del Perijá. Day 5 Itinerary: San Juan del Cesar to Palomino

San Juan del Cesar: After a good breakfast with a cheese arepa typical of the area and a brief inspection of our motorcycles, we will meet at 9:00 am and take one last look at this charming town, the birthplace of famous vallenato music performers, before starting the day's journey.
Ride: Today will be the first day riding near the Caribbean Sea. The route will cover about 270 km on paved roads with charming views of beaches and plains. We will pass through small towns in La Guajira and make a stop in Riohacha, the capital of La Guajira, known for its stunning beaches, vibrant indigenous culture, and colorful local markets. Here, we will have lunch with a delicious goat stew cooked in coconut milk, a highly appreciated local dish. Although we will be accompanied by the sea breeze, temperatures will be warm, so make sure to wear comfortable and fresh clothing and use sunscreen.
Palomino: We will continue our journey to Palomino, a hidden gem on the Caribbean coast, nestled between the Sierra Nevada and the Caribbean Sea. If time permits, you can take a stroll along the white sandy beaches and explore the town's historic center. Here, we will also have a typical lunch. We will then continue our journey to Coveñas. The temperatures will be warm and tropical, so it is advisable to wear fresh clothing and use sunscreen.
Coveñas: A coastal town famous for its tranquil beaches and natural reserves. Upon arrival in Coveñas, we will check into a hotel near the beach. You can spend the afternoon relaxing by the sea or exploring the local marine life. In the evening, we will enjoy a seafood dinner with views of the sunset over the Caribbean.
Day 10 Itinerary: Coveñas to Necoclí

Ride: Today, the route will be a bit longer, covering about 300 km. We will leave the Caribbean region and head into the Antioquian mountains, riding on paved roads with lush vegetation and panoramic views of mountainous landscapes. We will pass through charming towns that blend Caribbean and Antioquian cultures, such as Turbo, a bustling port known for its vibrant culture and lively atmosphere. Here, we can enjoy some local delicacies, mostly made with plantain. The temperatures will be warm and temperate, so it is advisable to wear comfortable and fresh clothing and have a waterproof jacket on hand.
Santa Fe de Antioquia: Upon arrival in Santa Fe de Antioquia, we will check into a cozy boutique hotel. Here, you can stroll through its cobblestone streets and appreciate the town's tranquil and relaxed atmosphere at your own pace. Santa Fe de Antioquia is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most beautiful colonial cities in Colombia. Our all-inclusive tours feature nightly accommodations with private or shared rooms. While most of our lodging options are private, there may be instances—particularly in remote areas or with larger groups—where shared rooms are necessary. However, shared room arrangements are typically optional, and if you are traveling with a passenger, we ensure comfortable accommodations suited to your preference.
Meals:
Each tour includes a hearty breakfast every morning, with select snacks and beverages offered in certain locations. We intentionally do not include lunch or dinner in the tour package to allow for personal preferences in food quality and choice. At every stop, we’ll recommend local dining options based on your tastes, guiding you toward both familiar favorites and authentic Colombian dishes that enrich your travel experience. Colombia offers a variety of regional specialties, and part of the journey is indulging in these culinary delights as you explore different parts of the country.
Preparation and Packing
We will supply you with comprehensive packing lists and preparation instructions. It’s advisable to have a basic understanding of motorcycle maintenance and repairs before your tour begins.
BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Multi-Day Motorcycle Tours & Rentals
- Full Refund: We do not allow full refunds on our tour purchases.
- Tour Deposit (Cancellations): Due to the fact we pre-book hotel bookings we will not refunded your motorcycle deposit for tour cancellations.
- Rental Deposit (Cancellations): Due to our pre-booked motorcycles & tour schedules, our motorcycle deposits are only refundable after your rental period is completed without damages, purposes and a full tank of gas.
- Trip Cancellation Insurance: 5% of the tour cost, payable at booking.
- Insurance Coverage: Provides credit towards a future tour with us.
Reason for policy: Tours and accommodations are pre-booked sometimes months in advance, necessitating confirmed motorcycle availability for all our clients.
Covered Cancellation Scenarios
Credit given if cancellation is due to:
- Cancellation with our Insurance Coverage policy
- Extreme sickness, accidental injury, or death (documentation required).
- Involvement in a traffic accident on the way to the tour or before
(police report needed). - Adverse situations affecting the ability to join the tour
(war, terrorism, natural disasters, strikes).
Additional Notes
Colombia Motorcycle Rental & Tour reserves the right to cancel your tour based on the legitimacy or illegitimacy of each rider’s experience level based on intake form. .
Each rider must come equipped with:
- Valid motorcycle driver’s license.
- Information on their experience levels.
- Honest details about themselves, including where they are from and any other required information required during our booking process.
