Full Description

combining authentic and pure medicine, strong shamans from long lineage (Taitas), amazing environment and caring integration. We don’t just give you medicine, but we provide solid integration that will allow you to turn your ayahuasca experience into long lasting positive change in your life!

What to Know Before or Prepare for

What to expect from the medicine itself? The best approach is to expect nothing. Empty your mind and just experience what is happening to you – don’t push it. Ayahuasca will rarely give you what you want, but it will almost always give you what you need.

  • Sometimes you will feel nothing and just vomit and fall asleep, but next morning you will wake up feeling amazing.
  • Sometimes you will see nothing, but hear things.
  • Sometimes you will be sober, but won’t be able to stand up and control your body.
  • Other times you will go deep inside your emotions, go in the past, uncover and resolve memories and traumas long forgotten.
  • Other times you will go and explore the universe or meet the self transforming machine elves.
  • Everything can happen and every ceremony is different.

IMPORTANT

By signing up to our retreat you are declaring that you are in a physical and mental condition appropriate to the activities described in the program, that you agree to participate at your own risk, and that we cannot accept liability for any accident or injury. We will provide the most secure environment to work with ayahuasca as possible and ensure your welfare to the best of our abilities, at all times. In return, we ask that you behave responsibly and do not endanger yourself or others.

FOLLOW THESE PRECAUTIONS AT LEAST 1 WEEK BEFORE DOING YOUR RETREAT

  1. You should stop drinking alcohol
  2. Stop smoking marihuana
  3. Stop taking any medications that is not to be combined with Ayahuasca. Thyroid medication, Blood pressure medication (Always consult your doctor before discontinuing any medication)
  4. It is important that you let us know if you are taking any medications. It is especially important that your system is clear of any psychoactive drugs, antidepressants, blood pressure medication and some antibiotics. Some of the interactions might be deadly.
  5. You should start eating clean. By eating clean we mean avoid junk food. No red meat (optional). Fish and chicken are in general considered fine, but aim to get highest quality possible. Free range, organic, wild caught etc.
  6. Stop eating foods high in tyramine – aged meats, aged cheeses, fermented foods, overly ripe fruits.
  7. You should start meditating on your intention for the retreat. What you want to see or achieve with the medicine. Avoid too much social media and TV spend some time meditating and writing.
  8. Lower your caffeine and your salt consumption.
  9. It is also recommended to stop having sex.

MEDICATION PRECAUTIONS

It is best to run any medication you are taking by us to assess safety. There is very high danger with any psychoactive medicines such as SSRI antidepressants, anti ADHD meditation and some insomnia medication. Blood pressure meditation and thyroid medication can be problematic too. Antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs are also not recommended. Consult with us about any medication you are taking.

  • MAOIs (Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors): Ayahuasca itself contains natural MAOIs. Combining ayahuasca with pharmaceutical MAOIs or foods/drinks high in tyramine (e.g., aged cheese, wine, certain fermented foods) can lead to a dangerous increase in blood pressure known as a hypertensive crisis.
  • Antidepressants: Avoid using selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) or other antidepressants in the days leading up to and during an ayahuasca retreat. Combining these medications with ayahuasca can lead to serotonin syndrome, which can be life-threatening.
  • Stimulants: Refrain from using stimulants such as amphetamines, cocaine, or MDMA (commonly known as ecstasy) before and during the retreat, as they can increase the risk of adverse reactions, including heart-related issues.
  • Antipsychotic Medications: Avoid combining ayahuasca with antipsychotic medications, as this can lead to unpredictable interactions or exacerbate psychiatric conditions.
  • Antihypertensive Medications: Ayahuasca can affect blood pressure, so it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional and the retreat organizers if you are on antihypertensive medications. Adjustments to your medication regimen may be necessary.
  • Prescription and Over-the-Counter Medications: Inform the facilitators of any prescription or over-the-counter medications you are taking. Some medications can interact with ayahuasca, and adjustments or cessation may be required, but this should always be done under medical supervision.
