Take the opportunity to dress up in typical “muleros paisas” attire, including a hat, poncho, “paruma,” and a rooster’s tail. Then, head to a coffee plantation to learn about coffee harvesting, reducing the beans to pulp, and finally, the drying process.
After these activities, sit down to enjoy a refreshing “musilago” drink (coffee juice) and a tea made from coffee pulp. Taste a typical regional dish made with plantains, honey, and cheese.
Listen to your guide as they explain techniques for preparing and drinking coffee and participate in a small coffee tasting session with different brews and snacks. Later, savor a typical “muleros paisa” dish with rice, yucca, ground meat, boiled egg, sausages, and plantains.
Try your hand at preparing your own coffee based on the information you’ve learned.
Finally, receive a coffee package as a gift and take the opportunity to purchase farm products in the shop. If you choose, you can also go on a 45-minute horseback ride through the farm to see some scenic viewpoints. Those with no horseback riding experience will receive the necessary instructions.
